There was a Concealed Carry Deadly Weapon (CCDW) class on Saturday, April 21, 2018 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Byron Richardson, with the Lebanon Police Department, will be the instructor of the class. The class was 7 hours long (6 hours class time plus 1 hour of range time). It was held at the Lebanon Police Department.  Sixteen people participated in the class. Posted by David England: “A great time was had by one and all last night (April 15, 2018 ) at the March Gladness celebration conclusion at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church! The music was excellent, the fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ across the “hill” was great, the deserts were perfect, and the butterscotch pie was to die for. It was good to see so many friends that you know there. Bro. Jones took the pie in the face graciously and it was a night to remember. There is some talk about returning the favor in a month and sponsoring a “thank you” desert meal for them. Stay tuned!” The “Golden Days” Group met with a potluck meal on April 12, 2018 at 12 noon in the church fellowship hall. A special guest, Michael Dennison, led the group in fun activities. This is always one of the favorite times together. Everyone 60 and older are invited to attend these bimonthly meetings. We extend our Christian love and sympathy to the family of James Livers upon his death on March 29, 2018 at the age of 94. The annual Easter Egg Hunt was on Wednesday, March 28th at 6 P.M. The children and adults enjoyed sandwiches, snacks, and finger foods and a time of fellowship.  Kids hunted eggs and heard the story of Easter.  We extend our Christian love and sympathy to the family of David Sapp upon his death. We extend our Christian love and sympathy to the family of Joseph Ann “Jo Ann” Spalding on March 26, 2018 at the age of 83. She was the mother-in-law of Dreama Helm Spalding. We extend our Christian love and sympathy to the family of Marguerite Sallee upon her death on March 14, 2018 at the age of 94. She was the grandmother of Beth Veatch. Bro. Billy and Dr. James Jones of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (the Philistines), agreed to a March Gladness Sunday School Attendance Tournament that took place in the month of March! The tournament was played on the Sundays of March 11th, 18th, 25th, and April 1st. The two churches competed with Sunday School outreach and contacts that was scored and tabulated. Each class had their score cards tabulated each Sunday morning on an official score card. Each contact made that week was worth 2 points, and a visitor that is invited to Sunday School and came to the class on one or more of these three Sundays—was worth 3 points each! The winning church will be treated to a desert meal served to them by the opposing church on April 15, 2018. The opposing church’s pastor will also get a pie in the face! All the tabulation is being done to see which church as won the tournament. The event was lots of fun! It was a fun way to get folks to Sunday School to feast on the Word. The 4th Annual Couples Retreat took place on March 9-10, 2018 at Barren River Lake. It was a great time of fun and fellowship! There was an evening session on Friday night and two sessions on Saturday morning.  Bro.
