Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Rev. Kit C. Yeaste upon his death on January 12, 2019 at the age of 94. He was a former pastor of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church from 1955 to 1958. He returned often over the years for revivals and homecoming services. See Obituary for details. Congratulations to Ricky and Kaitlyn (Benningfield) Green upon the birth of a son, Andrew Fletcher Green. He was born on December 31, 2018 at 12:06 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 19 inches long. Congratulations to the proud grandparents, Sherri and Joey Holtzclaw! Hannah Lanham made public her Profession of Faith decision during the Morning Worship Service at Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church on December 30, 2018. Her Grandparents (Burnam and Anita Lanham), the Youth Directors (Caden Wheatley and MaKayla Sabo), and some members of the youth group stood at her side as members of the congregation filed by to congratulate her on her important decision. She will be baptized at a later date. Hannah accepted Jesus as her personal Savior while attending the 2018 Xtreme Winter Conference. On December 27 – 29, 2018 our youth went to the 2018 Winter Xtreme Conference in Gatlinburg, TN. A bus was chartered to take 42 youth and chaperones to the event. On Monday, December 24, 2018, we had our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service and observed the Lord’s Supper at 6 P.M. On Sunday, December 23, 2018, the Annual White Christmas Offering was collected during the Morning Worship Service. Many thanks to everyone for their generosity. May God bless us as we serve together, in this community, throughout the coming year. On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, several went Christmas Caroling to the shut-ins in our community. On Sunday, December 16, 2018, the Sanctuary Choir presented their Christmas Cantata, “Peace Has Come”, during the Evening Worship Service. The Golden Days Senior Adult Group will meet on December 13, 2018 for their regular meeting. They will have the 14th Annual White Elephant Auction. Money raised will be used to support the local schools backpack food program. Children who may need food over the weekend when they are not in school, get a backpack full of easy to open and prepare food on Fridays to ensure they do not go hungry until they are back in school on Monday. The Golden Days Group have a great time at the auction as some items are gag and some very nice and it is always fun to see what is obtained with the money given. An outdated calendar and a wooly cap are two items that return each year to be sold! All those 60 and above are invited to come for a potluck meal and great time of fun and fellowship. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Shirley McNear Benningfield upon her death on December 1, 2018 at the age of 75. Parrott & Ramsey in charge of details.
